Clever Octopus and Goldman Sachs will be hosting a FREE summer workshop series for youth (ages 11-14) in Salt Lake City, Utah. The participants will be joined by Clever Octopus teaching-artists & assistants, Goldman Sachs employees, and college mentors to learn how we can reduce our impact on the environment through creative reuse.
Participants will work together to create large sculptures out of reclaimed materials (trash). This program will include an educational tour to the Salt Lake County Landfill and a trip to the Hogle Zoo. Lunches will be provided each day with vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free, and nut-free options.
When: July 9-12, 2019. 10 AM - 2 PM.
Where: Salt Lake City Public Library - Glendale Branch (1375 Concord St, Salt Lake City, UT 84104)
Who: Ages 11-14
The final sculptures created by participants will be displayed at the Salt Lake City Main Library, with an unveiling event on July 18th, 2019 at 6 PM.

Permission forms are required to be signed by a student’s parent/ guardian in order to participate in this workshop series. Please know that the completion of these forms is required to participation.
